The Merry Month of May
This month I travelled to Pennsylvania for Mother's Day and loving inspiration.
It was good to catch up and give in person hugs.
One conversation led to the sharing of the quilt file from Mom's phone to mine. 684 photos!
I can now attempt to create a Catalogue Raisonné / Shutterfly book of Mom's quilts.
Mom's sewing machine is her creative tool.
Fabric is her creative medium.

Home, in Sag Harbor, spring is progressing.
Intricate vignettes of moss and wild flowers.
Planting begins at North Sea Farms.
Chickens, free range, of course.
I shared the photo of the red tractor with its surrounding chickens with Mom and she suggested that I make it the subject of a painting. "It would look nice hanging across from the other one that you did." Then she reminded herself that she had some tractor fabric....
This past weekend was art drop off for the upcoming Water Mill Museum Members' Show.
The show opens to the public on Thursday, May 26th.
The opening reception is Saturday, June 4th from 4 to 7pm.
I ran into fellow artist, Ann Lombardo
Let the summer begin!
On a completely different note, I had a request for a pet portrait, my first.
